RELIFE Breakfast In Galilee gathering for men to dine as it were with Jesus as did with the fishermen (disciples) of Jesus on the shores of Galilee after the resurrection. The tone and tembre of this meal and fellowship mirrors the purpose and substance of that morning long ago. We simply pursue constant conversation with and about God and His unconditional love and grace toward us. We reveal our deepest secrets and hurts. We let the Spirit of God reveal His truth and inspire us to open our hearts to receive as much of the love of God as we can possibly take in.
This is an atmosphere of genuine, authentic expression of who each of us is and what our disappointments and understandings of our lives are. We allow every man to express his thoughts and insights freely. There is no rejection, lots of love, and an amazing kindred spirit.
The meeting is spontaneous and not dominated by any one teacher or any particular devotional or other "guide." As each man expresses his own thoughts and questions or as they utter the words of the Spirit of God, all are open to receive what ever revelation God has for them in the conversation.
Come and dine, the Master's calling!
RELIFE Heart to Heart gathering includes men and women, couples, singles, and teens. This gathering begins with supper provided by the host couple in whose home the event meets. The talk over dinner and appetizers drifts from life's events of the week to God's revelations through the reactions or responses to those circumstances. Although the conversations contain a measure of content regarding family and friends, it is centered around the desire of God for us and for participation in our daily activities.
The meal having been concluded there is a retirement to the great room for a moderated conversation on spontaneously generated questions, insights, or life situations. When conversation falters, the moderator leads with a video or audio clip or a reading to spark addtional conversation with and about God. Resources for these gatherings are the same as for the retreats and conferences.
The central theme is always to focus on the love of God for us and how that love, once we receive it in its fullness, will transform our lives both in our actions and attitudes. Our understanding of the ways of God is that from the beginning of recorded Scripture to the end, it is the communication from a loving God who offers us His hand in marriage. He will not force Himself on us. He desires our willing, spontaneous, complete abandon to Him so that He can express Himself through us thereby dispensing lavishly His love and grace.
